The corners took a solid drop onto concrete the first week and the ShockLite polymer absorbed it without a scratch on the phone itself. It adds a bit of bulk, but for this level of protection on such a big device, that trade-off is totally worth it.
Dropped this on asphalt from pocket height twice already, and the shock-absorbing polymer perimeter took it without a scratch. Feels reassuringly sturdy in the hand, not at all slippery.
